Sustainability
Our organisation focuses on sustainable practices and offers various vegetarian and vegan products. We strive to minimise preservatives and additives, aligning with our commitment to health and wellness. We pride ourselves on contributing to a more sustainable world by providing innovative solutions within the food industry.
Sustainable product development
Our range includes a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan products and plant-based alternatives to match the growing demand for conscious eating. We reduce preservatives and additives and aim for natural fragrances, colours and flavours for a clean-label approach. Moreover, we do not use genetically modified organisms (GMOs).
Environmentally conscious production and sustainability
Our manufacturing processes are designed to reduce the environmental footprint. We achieve this by:
- Using FSC-certified cardboard and paper for our packaging.
- Offering products in recycled PET, reducing the use of new plastic materials.
- Using green electricity within our production facilities contributes to lower CO2 emissions.
- Minimising transport miles for our raw materials to reduce our overall environmental impact.
- Employing sustainable packaging that is not only recyclable but also contributes to the longevity of our products.
Raw materials and suppliers
We select our suppliers carefully, prioritising organisations that support sustainable production, such as EKO, EU Bio and ProTerra. We use soy that meets the Round Table on Responsible Soy (RTRS) standard and minimise the transport miles of our raw materials to reduce our carbon footprint.
Sustainability targets and certifications
Our efforts align with the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We also work to high standards, such as BSCI (Business Social Compliance Initiative), and use only green electricity in our production processes.
International standards and legislation
We take into account essential regulations and standards such as:
- The CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) and PPWR (Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation) for responsible packaging and corporate reporting.
- The SUP (Single Use Plastics) legislation, which limits the use of disposable plastics.
- UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), where we take actions that contribute to these global Sustainable Development Goals.
Our impact on the world
At SupperFood, we believe that small, conscious choices lead to significant changes. By embracing innovative technologies and a sustainable mindset, we contribute to a better future for people, animals and the environment. Together with our partners and customers, we strive to make sustainability an integral part of the food industry.
